cost of breast augmentation varies throughout the country and even within a region. The total cost from start to finish could range from a low of $5,000 to as high as $10,000. Those prices should include your consultation, anesthesia, operating facility, implants, surgeon's fee and follow-up. While that may seem expensive, keep in mind that you can generally finance part of the price using a
plastic surgery financing loan.
Prices vary dramatically for many reasons. First, the region of the country you live in will have a large effect on price. Areas where the cost of living is higher, like New York or California, tend to be more expensive for plastic surgery. The type of procedure you have can also impact price. Do you want a
breast lift with your
breast augmentation? If so, it will cost a little more. Do you want
silicone gel breast implants instead of
saline breast implants? Silicone is slightly more expensive. Finally, surgeons' fees can differ. Make sure you use a
board certified plastic surgeon for your breast augmentation. Do not use a doctor without appropriate training even if his/her fees are less.
At your
breast augmentation consultation, make sure you ask your plastic surgeon the total cost for your procedure. Be sure that the quote you are getting includes the surgeon's fee, the cost of the implants, anesthesia, operating costs and follow-up visits.
